Alexander Engineering Design was originally established by Dr. Bill Alexander to carry out feasibility studies on a new class of heat transfer device. The company was awarded a U.K Department of Trade and Industry SMART award in 1998 to support the activities. Alexander Engineering Design has since expanded its remit to cover a broad range of mechanical and structural design as well as thermal and electric field analysis.
Dr. Alexander has over 30 years experience in engineering, both in research and development as well as in production. He has covered topics as diverse as high vacuum equipment design for the production of vacuum power electronic devices to equipment design for biomedical research. He has been directly involved in the design of engineering ceramic components for automotive engines and has worked with Ford UK as well as with Pilkingtons. More recently he managed a team of engineers within ALSTOM T&D UK and was responsible for mechanical and thermal issues relating to high voltage equipment and their support structures.
Alexander Engineering Design has been successful in providing solutions to customer requirements in many situations.
